Pike’s Peak Pop Warner Cheer

Pike’s Peak Pop Warner introduced a cheer program for our 2009 season. Nationally, Pop Warner has operated cheer programs for more than two decades with great success and we are excited to be able to bring this opportunity to the youth in our area.  Cheerleading teams will be formed in all divisions of  PPPW.  The cheerleading squads are assigned to football teams and accompany them to all their home and away games, including post-season, invitational bowls and Regional/National competitions.  The cheerleaders cheer during games and also perform at halftime during each game. 

The Objective of PPPW Cheerleading is to familiarize young participants with the fundamentals of cheerleading and to provide them an opportunity to participate in the sport of competitive cheerleading in an adult supervised, organized and safety-oriented environment.  Also, to emphasize fun for all and encourage the development of  life qualities they will need use throughout their lives.

Eligibility: Any child wishing to cheer is eligible to participate if they are at least 5 years old and not older than 14 years old as of July 31^st.  All participants will be assigned to an appropriate team division based on their age:

Registration Fees cover uniform (Shell, Skirt, Spanky’s, Socks, Poms), Warm-ups, Cheer shoes, Facility rentals, PW Registration fees, PW insurance, PW Conference dues, Scholastic registration and first aid supplies.
